Today's run (3 miles) was about like yesterdays run in the timing area, but man was I tired. I woke up and laid in bed for a few minutes. Took my time stretching. Did some laundry in between. The minute I step outside, it starts raining....of course.
I know where the first mile area is of my run. I don't know the EXACT mark, but I am pretty sure my first mile was under 8:30. This made me excited and kept me motivated. I got the the half way point about 13 seconds faster today. By this time I was soaked. I stepped in a puddle and water gushed up into my shoe. I wanted to beat yesterdays time REALLY badly. But no matter how hard I would run, I just felt like I was moving in slow motion. I felt so worn out. When I got to the corner where I usually push myself and run a little faster, I just couldn't. I was about 6 seconds slower than yesterday. At first I let it get me down, but then i decided that I should probably feel this tired after running all week. I decided that I had a good week, no major injuries, and a mile under 9 minutes. So I am happy.
Heres my time:
1st half= 13.27.88
2nd half= 13.50.08
Total time= 27.17.96
I am gonna have Trav paint some mile markers. It is more motivating than just clicking my watch at the half way point.

"Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."
So you're up to 10 miles this week with Friday and Saturday left! Keep it up!
